Department Of Foreign Languages (Dfl) Announces Its Writing Contest For Atılım’s One Book-One Topic Program

Based on the book Pour Your Heart Into It: How Starbucks Built a Company One Cup at a Time (by Howard Schultz), write an original paragraph about the following topic of no less than 250 words and submit it by email to 1book1topic@atilim.edu.tr  by April 30, 2013. Winning paragraphs will be featured at the OneBook-OneTopic website (http://etpo.atilim.edu.tr/1k1k). The topic is: One should pour her/his heart into her/his work in order to be successful.

• THE STUDENTS WILL COMPETE UNDER TWO GROUPS:

ENG 111(S) + ENG 104 STUDENTS and ENG 211/212 + ENG 202 STUDENTS.

• THE STUDENTS WHOSE PARAGRAPHS ARE SHORTLISTED (ACCORDING TO THE CRITERIA USED IN DFL) FOR THE COMPETITION WILL RECEIVE 3 POINTS IN THEIR COURSES. VARIOUS PRIZES AS WELL AS 5 POINTS WILL BE GIVEN TO THE FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD WINNERS.

THE PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN TO BOTH GROUPS SEPARATELY.
