Mobile Education Project mPAD to Reach New Dimensions

A new step was achieved with the mPAD, the element at the heart of the Mobile Education Project in place to build upon the creation and utilization of mobile education in higher education.
Under continuous development since 2012 and initially used for preparatory English education; the mPAD is expected to enter into use in undergraduate degree programs within the scope of Internal Support Programs.
Projects conducted by Atılım University academicians from Industrial Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, and Software Engineering, were announced in the “mPAD Project Launch Meeting” organized by the Office of Dean of the School of Engineering, and the Directorate of ARGEDA-TTO.
The meeting saw the attendance of Mr. Yalçın Zaim, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, President Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Üçtuğ, Vice Presidents Prof. Dr. Serkan Eryılmaz and Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Kaptan; Deans, Director of ARGEDA-TTO, academicians and administrative managers.
Applications exclusive to Atılım University were developed to integrate with the mPAD based on the projects executed by Faculty Member Dr. Fatma Yerlikaya, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sacip Toker, and Faculty Member Dr. Erhan Gökçay within the scope of the “Internal Support Program for mPAD Projects”.
With the new apps exclusive to the mPAD, once used only for foreign language education at Atılım University Graduate School of Foreign Languages Department of Basic English, students will soon be able to use their mPADs throughout their undergraduate degree programs.
