Prof. Dr. Füsun Terzioğlu Became the ENDA Representative for Turkey

Prof. Dr. Füsun Terzioğlu, the Dean of our School of Health Sciences, is the first Turkish woman scientist to be elected as the European Nurse Directors Association Representative for Turkey.
ENDA for short, the association was founded in Switzerland in 1992, and operates in many areas, such as the ethical principles, scientific research and developing practices in nursing as a profession.
In her interview with IHA on the topic, Prof. Dr. Füsun Terzioğlu stated that nurses have globally been declared the heroes against COVID-19 with the services that they have offered, and reminded that the year 2020 has been dubbed the “Year of the Nurse” by the World Health Organization.
In the interview, Prof. Dr. Füsun Terzioğlu also mentioned that many international studies are conducted by ENDA, and added: “One of my key areas of focus is enhancing nursing. Nursing is a profession that comprises of science, and art; a profession that touches lives. No other profession may have the power to change the concept of care by offering services for 24 hours, without ever stopping. I believe that our international network is of utmost importance in giving such an important profession its rightful place.”
