INFORMATION ABOUT COURSE REGISTRATION

Steps for Course Registration:

 

  • Log in to https://atacs.atilim.edu.tr with the username and password you received from Directorate of Inforrmation and Communication Technologies (IT).
  • You need to add the courses listed in the curriculum for the 1st semester of the 1st year. You have a total of 8 courses (MATH101, HIST101, ENG101, PSY101, PR119, KRY111, ATU100 and a general elective course).
  • For courses with multiple sections, determine the section that suits you by checking the hours in the course schedule and add that section. You can access the course schedule at https://www.atilim.edu.tr/en/psy from the announcements section or at https://www.atilim.edu.tr/en/dersprogrami.
  • You also need to take an elective course outside your field of study for the 1st semester (General elective). You can add this elective course by finding a suitable course and section for your schedule. You can access the schedule for these courses at https://www.atilim.edu.tr/en/dersprogrami. Please note that the quotas for these courses are limited, and they may be full. If they are full, try adding a different course that fits your schedule.
  • You need to complete your course registrations on the dates specified in the “Course registrations and advisor approvals for the Fall semester” section of the academic calendar. You can access the academic calendar at https://www.atilim.edu.tr/en/oim/page/6026/2024-2025-academic-calendar.
  • Once you are sure that you have added all the courses for the 1st semester, click on the "Send for Academic Advisor Approval" button and come to your academic advisor for approval.
  • After you send your courses for academic advisor approval, you cannot make any changes to it. If you want to make any changes, you must contact your academic advisor and request that they remove the approval. In such a case, you must send the changes you have made for approval again during the course registration period. Otherwise, you will be left unregistered.
  • If your course registration is not approved during the course registration period due to any problems or if you want to change your courses after the registration period, you will have the opportunity to re-create the course registration during the add-drop period (the 2nd week when classes start).
  • After your courses are approved, you will need to register yourself for each course on the Moodle system. To do this, log in to https://moodle.atilim.edu.tr using your username and password, search for the courses you registered for, and enroll yourself. All course announcements, materials, exams, etc., will be shared on the course pages on the Moodle system.
  • You should regularly check your Atılım e-mail address and the announcements section on the Psychology Department website, which your professors use to communicate with you and make this a habit throughout your education.
  • When you want to meet with any of your professors or academic advisors, send them an e-mail and request an appointment. To do this, you must use the Atılım e-mail system instead of using the option to send a message to the academic advisor via the ATACS system.
