LogiMode: Panel on Modes of Transportation in Logistics

On March 25, 2025, a special panel was held in collaboration with the Department of International Trade and Logistics and the UTLA student club, focusing on the core transportation methods within the logistics sector. Titled "Modes of Transportation in Logistics", the event offered participants a comprehensive perspective on the transportation modes used in logistics operations.

The opening speech was delivered by our department head, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Saygılıoğlu. Following his valuable remarks on the sector, the panel session continued with contributions from representatives of leading companies in the industry:

  • Ms. Belma Balcı, Regional Manager at DHL Freight Ankara, delivered an in-depth presentation on road transportation,

  • Mr. Sezer Sarıkaya, Senior Director at NMT Group, shared his professional knowledge and experience in sea transportation,

  • Ms. Tuğçe Kısabacak Sancak, Branch Director at NMT Group Ankara, discussed current practices in air transportation,

  • Mr. Emre Venedik, General Manager of Mağdenli Nakliyat, provided detailed insights into heavy haulage operations.

Each speaker presented the processes carried out in their respective areas of expertise, along with operational challenges encountered in the industry, through engaging and informative presentations. During the Q&A session following the panel, students had the opportunity to ask their questions and receive answers directly from the experts.

The event concluded with a networking session held in the foyer area outside the conference hall, where participants and students engaged in one-on-one conversations and exchanged ideas.
