Seminar Held on the Transformative Role of Individual Applications

A seminar catered to university students was held on December 23, 2024, at School of Law, Atılım University, within the scope of the Joint Project by the European Union and the Council of Europe titled “Supporting the Effective Implementation of the Constitutional Court Decisions in the Field of Fundamental Rights”. The seminar was presented by the Chief Rapporteur of the Constitutional Court.
The seminar saw the discussion on the transformative effect of individual application on criminal law before the Constitutional Court, with an emphasis on the importance of the implementation of the Court decisions.
The event was held with the participation of 100 students. With an aim to raise awareness about the role and powers of the Constitutional Court, the platform provided participants with the opportunity to participate in interactive discussions on the topic. During the seminar, students had the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers, and share their opinions. The seminar has been the tenth event organized within the scope of the Project.
The Joint Project titled “Supporting the Effective Implementation of the Constitutional Court Decisions in the Field of Fundamental Rights” is co-financed by the European Union, and the Council of Europe; while implemented by the Council of Europe. The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Türkiye is the final benefactor of the project.
