FALL SEMESTER APPLICATION PERIOD FOR ERASMUS EXCHANGE PROGRAM FOR 2013-2014 ACADEMIC YEAR
Application Date: March 18 - April 08, 2013
Application form of Exchange Students on the web-site of EU & International Relations Office by completed, Transcript and the certificate of English proficiency should be delivered to EU Office (EU Office: upstairs of Rectorship, room no: 403 )
Application Criteria:
*Grade point average for undergraduate students at least 2.2/4.0, for master's degree and doctorate students 2.5/4.0 is required.
* Certificate of English level (Proficiency grades, TOEFL, similar documents)
Required Documents for Application:
· Application form: can be reached from http://iro.atilim.edu.tr under the title of Forms. (After completed the form, you should be delivered it by printing to our office as approved to your department coordinator)
· Certified Transcript obtained from Head of Department of Student Affairs or related Directorate of Institute
· Certificate of English Proficiency (Ask Preparatory School for the document of Proficiency grade as certified)
To get information about contractual university for your department, click the Erasmus Exchange Protocols on the web-site of EU & International Relations Office. (Students whose department does not have an agreement cannot apply the program.)
*** Students should indicate that they can be a Erasmus student without get donation.
Application will not be evaluated if the documents are missing or they are unsigned.

Erasmus Exchange Program is substantiated within the framework of bilateral agreements existing between Erasmus University Charter and the Council of Higher Education for Erasmus exchange. The program provides students for education opportunity and support for 3-12 months in the EU member countries' universities for the students of undergraduate, except for first grade students, master's degree and doctorate level.
The student exchange activity for 2013-1014 educational year is substantiated between June 1, 2013 and September 30, 2014.
Application Criteria
· Completed the first year in university ( first grade students can benefit from the program by applying for the second grade),
· Having grade point average for undergraduate students at least 2.2/4.0, for postgraduate students 2.5/4.0
· Not being benefited from Erasmus exchange program before,
· Students can be Erasmus students without get donation. Students without donation are subject to the general evaluation together with other applications, they go through the same process, and can utilize this exchange within quota of bilateral agreement.
How to determine the university for exchange program?
2013- 2014 terms Bilateral Agreements of Atılım University on students exchanges are published on the web-site http://iro.atilim.edu.tr under the title of Erasmus Exchange Protocols.
You can go the universities that we have bilateral agreements for 3-12 months.
Donation Payments
How much will be the Erasmus Donation?
The monthly Erasmus donation payments for 2013-2014 terms have been determined accordingly to standard of living for each 27 EU countries by National Agency.
A donation for travel expenditure is not provided.

For the periods exceeding the full month, donation is given equal to price of the period which cannot be completed to full month given in the following table.

Amount of Erasmus donation is calculated by multiplying the period (month) with the amount of monthly donation stated above for the country to go. It is possible that the fractions are round down; they cannot be round up.
The payments to exchanging students are rendered with two installments. Before the student going to the exchange institution, 80 % of the total donation that is calculated accordingly to envisaged period is paid as the first payment. The second installment (20%) is made at the end of the academic term considering the statement of application for effective date
The right to render the payment as totally or not totally is reserved for the student who are not successful in the two-thirds of the curriculum determined in education agreement.
Opportunity of Additional Donation for Disabled Students
Additional donations can be paid for disabled students satisfy the conditions below:
· In the case of exceeding the donation amount for mobility costs, and not providing different supports in the level of local, regional or national
Procedure of Student Evaluation and Selection
Procedure of Student Evaluation and Selection is done accordingly to selection criteria determined by National Agency.
Erasmus student selection is substantiated from applied students providing minimum conditions by ranging the grades top to down taking account of the evaluation criteria and weighted scores announced by National Agency.
While the applications are evaluating, the following evaluation criteria is applied accordingly the system of weighted scores:
Academic Achievement Level 50%
Foreign Language Grade (English) 50%
Foreign Language Grade of students that applied to Erasmus exchange will be determined with regard to Proficiency grade given by Department of Foreign Languages. The scores of TOEFL, IELTS, KPDS, ÜDS will be evaluated as equivalent converting from 100 points.
Selection results with the grades of students applied to Erasmus exchange will be announced on notice boards and web-site.
