| Course Objectives | This course aims to give information about the history of Western Culture in order to develop students' understanding of Western culture and civilization. This course is also designed to give students the opportunity to gain some basic knowledge about the literary achievements of Western civilization and the important philosophical ideas behind these achievements. This course will give students a sense of discovery and will discuss the many canonical works in literature, and consider the importance of humanist ideas in Western history. Students are expected to become familiar with real information by reading the specified texts and additional materials. |
