Course Objectives This course is designed to focus on the origins and development of the English novel in the 18th century and to study important novels of the period.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • can analyze the characteristics and development of Restoration and 18th Century Theater,
  • can define the representative dramatic genres of the period,
  • are able to analyze and compare the selected plays of the period regarding form and content,
  • are able to develop a critical approach to selected plays.
