Course Objectives To analyze theatre in performance.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • understand the characteristics of British theatre from 1950s to 1980s with a historical, social and political context by the help of the plays selected.
  • know the differences between such concepts as drama, theatre, play and performance as well as Aristotelian dramatic theory and structure with its historical developments.
Course Content This course primarily aims at exploring British theatre from 1950s to 1990s with a historical, social and political context.
