Course Objectives This course aims to develop, technical analyze and produce two projects in line with the given themes. While the first project focuses on being able to explain clothing product groups, developing a ready-made clothing collection for specific product groups (sportswear, outerwear, etc.), the other project focuses on recognizing fabric types, designing ideas using certain/limited fabrics (knitted, denim, leather, etc.). focuses on developing ready-to-wear collections.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Explains clothing product groups.
  • Gives examples of areas of expertise in fashion design.
  • Develops ready-made clothing collections for specific clothing product groups.
  • Recognizes fabric types.
  • It develops a capsule collection for a specific fabric type.
  • Can combine certain fabric type or pattern.
  • Makes technical analysis of the clothing of the designed collection.
  • It carries the look of the designed collection into three dimensions.
  • Creates technical and creative visual documents for collection presentation.
