Course Objectives This course is designed to provide the Engineering Students with training in a variety of OSH areas in order to improve their ability to work safely on construction sites.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students will demonstrate a base of knowledge in the recognition and assessment of health and safety hazards in the workplaces.
  • Students will have the knowledge of basic skills to reduce the costs and risks associated with workplace injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.
  • Students will be able to identify education, engineering, and enforcement controls for the prevention of occupational health and safety problems
Course Content Introduction to safety management, hazard analysis and control, hazard communication program, job hazard analysis, safety supervision and leadership, accident investigation, personal protective equipment, ergonomics, confined space entry, fall protection, preventing workplace violence, electrical safety, fire prevention.
