Course Objectives In this course, students will learn about theoretical and empirical aspects of self-related phenomena.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define the concept of self
  • Differentiate different self-related phenomena
  • Analyze human social thought and behavior by means of self-related concepts and theories
  • Define the concept of self-esteem
  • Integrate self related theories
Course Content The nature of the self, sources of and cognitive processes involved in self-knowledge, self-development, self-regulation of behavior, self-presentation, self-esteem, and cultural variations in self-related phenomena
