Course Objectives The aim of this course is to get students familiar with the basic concepts of organizational psychology, have them understand the job of a psychologist in a workplace and how general psychological principles and knowledge are related to work-related issues in general
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To be familiar with the basic concepts of organizational psychology such as job analysis, performance appraisal, selection and assessment, job attitudes and emotions, counterproductive work behavior, employee motivation, workgroups and teams, and leadership
  • To understand the job of a psychologist in a workplace (e.g., as a consultant, job analyst, training specialist, selection specialist etc.)
  • To understand the relationship between general psychological principles and knowledge and work-related issues in general such as reinforcement principles, motivation, cognitive biases, assessment etc.
Course Content Organizational theory and behavior, decision making, work attitudes and motivation, work design, group dynamics, leadership, and organizational culture, reward systems, motivation and satisfaction
