Course Objectives The aim of this course is to discover the relationship between the concept of the city, cinema and literature. To this end, the image of the city will be traced in various works written by English, Irish, French, Turkish, German, American, Italian, and Brasilian men of letters.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Improve their paper writing skills
  • Improve their ability to select and use the necessary visual materials
  • Acquire their ability to make relevant comment on a particular literary work
  • Acquire information about how city image is conveyed in literatures of various other cultures
Course Content Comparative focus on the city in novel, novella, short story, prose, poetry and film.
