Course Objectives The main purpose of the course is to introduce and gain knowledge of arbitration conceptually and institutionally. Especially to teach the principles and rules of national arbitration institutions and their functioning and to show their application with examples.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Comprehend the operation and differences of non-institutional (Provisional/Ad-hoc) and institutional arbitration.
  • They can solve the problems they will encounter in practice by having knowledge about arbitral proceedings.
Course Content Non-Institutional (Provisional/Ad-Hoc) Arbitration, Institutional Arbitration, Arbitrability, Eligibility of Arbitration, Selection of Arbitrators, Arbitral Trial, Arbitrary Decision, Application Methods Against the Arbitrator's Decision.
