Course Objectives | The aim of this course is to examine the phases and structure of Central Asian and Caucasian states and peoples since the first periods of history. The political and social transformation of the Central Asian and Caucasian states from the 19th century to the present will be examined, and the change they have experienced after great wars and important political events will be discussed. In addition, the effect of this change on international politics will be explained. After the establishment of the Soviet Union, the phases these countries went through and the important events that could be the subject of national and international politics from the post-Soviet period to the present will be analyzed. In addition, the historical and current dimensions of the relations of the Central Asian and Caucasian states with Turkey will also be the subject of the course. In short, the aim of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of the development of the Central Asian and Caucasian states and their transformations in social, political, foreign policy and economic issues in the process from history to the present. |
