Course Objectives To be able to have knowledge about media literacy by teaching basic concepts.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • -Learning basic concepts -Examination of regulatory bodies and their effects. -To have knowledge about content filtering.
Course Content This course covers the basic concepts and approaches related to sociology. In this sense, starting from the concept of media literacy, important theoretical approaches are examined. Then, violence, gender, representation of minorities are analyzed through different media materials.
