Course Objectives The aim of this course is to give the cellular basis of the main events taking place in the human body, with an emphasis on the cell, which is the structural unit of living things, and in particular, to give information about the structure and functioning of the human body at the molecular level.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Defines the general characteristics of living things.
  • Compares prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms, compares eukaryotic organisms among themselves.
  • Defines the functions of cell organelles and associates them with organs in systems.
  • • Understands the synthesis mechanisms of biomolecules.
  • Compares the embryonic development of the living thing with its postnatal development.
Course Content Basic concepts of biology, cell biology and molecular genetics and applying these concepts to issues related to child development.
