Course Objectives The idea behind this course is the assessment of the role, function and the importance of the European Union jurisdiction in the organization of the Union and to conduct a comparative academic review of the different ways of litigation.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Can explain the position of the judicial order in European Union’s institutional structure.
  • Can find legal remedies for exemplary disputes concerning European Union law.
  • Can evaluate the judicial organization by distinguishing the duties and responsibilities of the courts.
  • Compare the types of cases found in the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice
  • Discuss the issues that may be encountered in the functioning of the European Union judicial system.
Course Content The position of the EU judiciary in the EU institutional structure and the types of proceedings seen in the EU judiciary.
