Course Objectives The aim of this course is to help students use their knowledge in accordance with Japanese culture, improve their skills in building comprehensible dialogues in terms of time and place.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Reading: • Recognizing the alphabet, • specifying the main idea in short texts • detecting a specific idea in short texts
  • Speaking: • giving personal information, • talking about daily activities,
  • Listening: • finding the main idea in audio texts, • identifying the use and pronounciation of Japanese via listening
  • Writing: • completing a dialogue and answering relevant questions, • writing short texts for different purposes.
  • Technology use: • through technology completing internet assignments and independent learning skills
Course Content More vocabulary, structure and communicative skills at elementary level; various themes such as travel, places, appearance, plans, health, weather, phone conversations, and cultural elements.
