Course Objectives The objective of this course is to provide students with the knowledge of software quality, quality models, standards and methodologies used in software development organizations.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Discuss various Software Quality Assurance (SQA) activities performed during the development and maintenance of software systems
  • List different types of software reviews and inspections, testing strategies and implementation
  • Review software quality infrastructure components, management components, standards, certification and assessments
  • Analyze and compare some software assessment and improvement models successfully implemented in organizations of different sizes
  • Discuss the importance of measurement in achieving quality and to be able to propose some new quality metrics
  • Discuss quality issues in emerging software development trends
