Course Objectives Evaluation of candidate’s written “intermediate report I”, "intermediate report II" and "intermediate report III" and presentations to cover his/her up to date research work, together with a Thesis Jury ideally covering a four-term study. In prder to establish a Thesis Jury , the PhD student is required to get an acceptance from a national/international peer-reviewed journal about his/her paper derived from the PhD work.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Systematic acquisition and understanding of knowledge on modeling and design of engineering systems.
  • Develop research skills to conceptualize, model, design and implement a research project in the light of unforeseen problems.
  • Gain an attitude to undertake pure and applied research and development at advanced level.
  • Attain professional skills of personal responsibility and autonomous initiative in complex and unpredictable situations in professional environments.
