Course Objectives The aim of this course is; to ensure that define, implement and evaluate nursing care services that patient/healthy individuals and their families need in the environment they live in.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Describe the physiological, psychological, and social needs of the patient / healthy individual and family in the environment they live in.
  • Performs health assessment of the patient / healthy individual and family and implements the nursing process.
  • Educates and counsel the patients / healthy individuals and their families on the issues they need and practices nursing initiatives.
  • Work in partnership with home care team members.
Course Content The basic concepts related to home care, the current situation in home care services, the duties, authorities and responsibilities of home care team, legal arrangements related to home care nursing, individuals and priority groups in need of home care, home care providers and problems they have experienced, home care models, home care process, improvement of home care and health, ethical problems in home care.
