Course Objectives | The aim of this course is; teaching the knowledge of basic concepts, rules and principles related to Public Health Nursing, teaching the nursing services to be given to individual, family and community for the protection, promotion and improvement of health with basic health care principles and gain skills to nursing students. |

Course Content | Historical development of public health nursing, the aims, functions and roles of community health nursing, basic health services, community recognition process and home visits,maternal child health, environmental health, school health nursing, occupational health nursing, home care, public health in disasters and extraordinary events, assessment of risk groups, traditional practices and alternative medicine. |
