Course Objectives Explaining the physiological changes occur associated with aging, providing the comprehension of the applications about the required evaluation and exercise programs for the healthy & disabled elderly, arousing the awareness about healthy aging and quality of life.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Describing clinical properties observed in healthy & sick geriatric patients and associating them with appropriate approach of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
  • Obtaining information about the physiological responses of geriatric patients in case of various diseases.
  • Gaining experiences about the evaluation of geriatric patients and about defining & understanding the problems of these patients
  • Planning and applying the appropriate treatment approach
  • Gaining skills of multidisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare staff providing elderly healthcare in case of various diseases seen in geriatrics
