Course Objectives To examine the basic concepts of human rights law and the restriction regime in parallel with the international developments in this field.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Identify the basic concepts of human rights law
  • Explains the development process of human rights law
  • Defends the application of human rights in terms of positive law
  • Discuss the functionality of international human rights mechanisms
Course Content The development of idea of human rights and the basic concepts of human rights, international treaties on human rights and freedoms, legal effect of ECoHR on Turkish legal system, the jurisprudence of ECHR on the basis of some human rights.
