Course Objectives In this course, the students will be learning fundamental concepts of ergonomics to be able to apply for their practical problems.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Acquaintance of students with the fundamental concepts of ergonomics.
  • Ability of students to develop an insight about the role of ergonomics for different engineering disciplines especially for industrial engineering.
  • Ability of students to evaluate and solve real life processes and problems using ergonomics techniques.
Course Content Applied anthropometry, work-space design, seating design, visual environment, noise, thermal environment, chemical substances, physical work and manual materials handling, the niosh approach to the design and evaluation of lifting tasks, biomechanics, vibration and acceleration.
