Course Objectives The aim of the course is to provide students with a basic understanding of the concept of bureaucracy, different theoretical approaches to bureaucracy, bureaucracy-politics relations, bureaucratic institutions and bureaucratic behaviors.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to master the general theories of bureaucracy.
  • Will be able to master the distinctive features of the Turkish bureaucracy
Course Content Patrimonial bureaucracy; legal-rational bureaucracy; rational-productive bureaucracy; Turkey`s bureaucratic structure from the Ottoman Empire to present day.
