Course Objectives This course is designed to develop a simple understanding of Total Quality Management by using statistical tools and techniques.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students who are successful in this course, will be able; To understand and evaluate the Total Quality Management concept, principles and the system applications for businesses in real life.
  • To create an awareness about the ISO and QS certification process and its necessity for the industry.
  • To understand both technical and philosophical issues surrounding quality management;
  • To use statistical approach and tools for quality control.
  • To make right decisions for total quality management systems constructions in management level plans.
Course Content This course focuses on the definition of TQM, tools and techniques for quality improvement, basic statistics, control charts, six sigma and international quality standarts (ISO).
