Course Objectives The objective of this course is to help students to understand tourism as an economic activity, its impacts on GDP, employment, balance of payment, etc. and its other related dimensions.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To understand contribution of the tourism industry to economic growth, economic development.
  • To examine factors affecting demand
  • To understand factors affecting supply structure of the tourism industry.
Course Content Interaction of tourism with sectors of the economy; equilibrium in tourism market; price determination for package tourism; impacts of tourism on regional development.
