Course Objectives This course will focus on the history, patterns and trends of American foreign policy. In addition, American foreign policy objectives will be evaluated in the light of its global engagement after the Second World War. Finally, a special emphasis will be given to the external and domestic influences on the formation of the American foreign policy during the Cold War.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To learn the historical development of the American Foregin Policy
  • To learn United States' foreign policy stance in World Wars and comprehend its Cold War policy.
Course Content The history, patterns and trends of American foreign policy; American foreign policy objectives in the light of its global engagement after the Second World War; the external and domestic influences on the formation of the American foreign policy during the Cold War.
