Course Objectives The aim of this course is to introduce the students to the basic concepts and institutions of law and to provide them with information about the content of the concepts they encounter both in contemporary life and in various parts of their education. On the other hand, it aims to prepare the infrastructure of the law courses they will take in the following semesters.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students will be able to identify and solve problems within the framework of the legal knowledge gained in the course.
  • Students learn notions of law and various types of contracts.
  • Students gain the ability to communicate effectively within the framework of the legal knowledge gained in the course.
  • Students will have knowledge about current legal regulations.
Course Content First year students of the Department of Finance are given general information about law in order to provide a foundation for law courses. Mainly, it is aimed to provide students with a legal perspective and legal notion. Terminology information is given especially for courses such as constitutional law, administrative law, law of obligations, commercial law, criminal law, tax law in the curriculum of the Department of Finance.
