Course Objectives Aim is to give students knowledge about the risks arising from competition in the framework of the international trade and measurement and management methods of those risks.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To identify the basic financial risks and effects of those risks.
  • To define the interest rate risk under term structure perspecitve and the determinants of the interest rate risk.
  • To explain the factors affecting the foreign exchange rates and associated risks.
  • To explain the factors affecting the commodity prices and associated risks.
  • To acknowledge the credit risks and its components and management of the credit risks.
Course Content Risk concept, interest rates and foreign exchange rates, interest rate risk, credit risk, operational risk, commodity risk, hedging.
