Course Objectives This course aims to acquaint the students with the phenomena, experimental findings, and explanations of learning. Knowledge of this literature will help students appreciate the importance of learning processes for the understanding of psychological functioning of the individual, and in addition, it will serve as a basis for Cognition issues which are to be covered in the following term
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Have an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the literature
  • Develop critical thinking habits in evaluating the outcomes of the literature
  • Are able to integrate the knowledge obtained in the course with other areas of experimental psychology
  • Have knowledge about experimental findings and explanations of learning
  • Gain knowledge about the theories of learning.
Course Content Pavlovian conditioning, operant conditioning, aversive conditioning, partial reinforcement and classical-operant interactions.
