Course Objectives Aim is to give students a good foundation in the applications of international trade, especially knowledge about the international conventions and their applications to which Turkey must apply
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To develop an understanding the principles and sources of international law
  • To explain the general framework of international conventions and treaties, together with their functions, applications
  • To explain the functions of the international organizations such as UN, EU and WTO in international trade
  • To evaluates the dispute settlements in relation with international trade activities, together with the related functions of International Court of Justice
  • To have indebth knowledge about the foundation of WTO and its functions in international trade such as dispute settlement procedures and also the functions of International Tribunal for Investment Disputes
  • To acknowledges GATT and WTO applications and the international trade rules applied by these institutions
Course Content International personalities, dispute settlement methods, history of international trade relations, WTO, GATT, multilateral trade agreements.
