Course Objectives The aim of this course is to realize emphasizes the practical aspects of import and export operations in real life and also to emphasize the application differences between theory and practice by using case studies
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To evaluate the practical aspects of export and import management by and for small and medium sized businesses
  • To select business partners (buyers/sellers, carriers, service providers) compatible with company's goals.
  • To develop an understanding in export and import procedures
  • To apply sequence of events in a typical international transaction
  • To apply best practice of shipping and documentation procedures to international shipments
Course Content International marketing strategies, planning, documentation, financing and transportation choices, export regulations, import customs clearance and other government requirements, the role of service providers, freight forwarders, free-trade-zones, existing import and export rules and regulations, tariff and structures.
