Course Objectives The objective of this course is to provide students with the knowledge of software quality, quality models, standards and methodologies used in software development organizations.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Discuss various Software Quality Assurance (SQA) activities performed during the development and maintenance of software systems
  • Review application aspects of SQA systems
  • Describe pre-project software quality components which includes contract review, development and quality plan
  • List different types of software reviews and inspections, testing strategies and implementation
  • Discuss pre-maintenance software quality components, maintenance software quality assurance tools
  • Analyze software quality management standards, certification including process assessment and improvement models
  • Review software quality infrastructure components, management components, standards, certification and assessments
Course Content Introduction to software quality and assurance; components of software quality assurance; configuration management; reviews, inspection and audits; software testing strategies and techniques; software quality standards; certification and assessment; introduction of case studies related with software process improvement and quality metrics.
