Course Objectives The main goal of this course is to help students learn the specific terminology and language use for specific fields such as technology, international affairs, diplomacy, current affairs, law etc.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students learned to classify and differentiate the text types used in translation.
  • Students familiarized with area-specific uses of language such as economics, law, medicine, etc. in the texts.
  • Students improved their knowledge of terminology on various fields in English and Turkish.
  • Students integrated their knowledge on text types with the jargon and language use in various fields.
  • Students increased their awareness on current issues through analyzing different texts on such issues.
