Course Objectives The main goal of this course is to continue to help students use the target language to communicate accurately and fluently in all social situations. In addition to what is studied during the first semester, student prepare persuasive and argumentative speeches in order to improve their communicative skills in the target language. Students will learn to express themselves before a group in both formal and informal situations during the sessions. They will also prepare and give speeches and participate in debates.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To develop skill to make communication in English
  • To develop confidence when expressing themselves before a group
  • To perceive importance of communication
  • To learn the basics of outlining and organising a speech.
  • To learn the basics of informative, persuasive and argumentative speaking.
  • To enrich vocabulary on various issues
Course Content Theory of communication event, functions of communication and dynamics of speech; basics of outlining and organising a speech; persuasive and argumentative speeches; group discussions and debates.
