Course Objectives This course enables students to understand the scientific and technical texts in English and Turkish and learn the format and structure of certain technical documents.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To understand the scientific and technical texts in English
  • To learn the format and structure of certain technical documents.
  • To improve the translation skills in technical and scientific documents.
  • To improve the terminology knowledge of the students in the fields of science and technology.
Course Content The nature of technical and scientific documents; the steps of technical translation; research and terminology studies on contemporary technical subjects; translating and editing the texts in the light of current methodologies.
