Course Objectives The aim of this course is to do academic works, to educate the students and the sector managers about alternative tourism and tourism product diversification
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To define the terms of alternative tourism, its purpose, framework and varieties
  • To understand alternative tourism and its emerging fields
  • To understand the ways of touristic diversification from the point of Turkish tourism
  • To understand the importance of faith tourism from the point of Turkish tourism
  • To understand the importance of health tourism from the point of Turkish tourism
Course Content Definition of alternative tourism, objectives, scope and types, alternative tourism and development areas; tourism product diversification, tourism product diversification in Turkish tourism, religious tourism, cultural tourism, nature tourism, health tourism, advantages and disadvantages of Turkey in alternative tourism.
