| Course Objectives | The purpose of this course is starting from the 1500s until 1960's to discuss the political, social and diplomatic events that took place in Europe. |

| Course Content | The rise of Western World from the political, economic and technological perspectives, the geographical discoveries and formation of the colonial empires, the nation state building period that created the contemporary international relations system, the First and Second World Wars and the Cold War period. |
