Course Objectives This course aims to give the concepts, principles, problems, and practices of successful operations management. Emphasis is focused on preparing students to identify and apply appropriate management processes to ensure efficient, effective, and quality oriented operations, while achieving operational excellence.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To analyze production systems and components and make managerial decisions.
  • Making decisions by realizing demand forecasting with the help of quantitative methods.
Course Content Demand forecasting, project management, quality management, supply chain management, planning and scheduling, and inventory management, materials resource planning (MRP), enterprise resource planning (ERP) as well as modern production techniques such as lean production, just-in-time production.
