Course Objectives This course aims to present main concepts, theoretical approaches and methods on the field of comparative politics to graduate students. For this purpose, it focuses on the main actors and processes that affect a country's political structure and domestic politics such as the determinants of democratic and authoritarian regimes, relationship between different political institutions, parties and party systems, election systems etc.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Recognizes the main issues, concepts and theories of comparative politics and evaluates them through comparative examples.
