Department of Basic English (Prep School)

Educational Technology Unit is responsible for facilitating the integration of digital teaching and learning technologies into the preparatory school (Department of Basic English) instructional program by supporting the administration, academic units, instructors, and students. The unit focuses on exploring the application of recent emerging technologies from a teaching and learning perspective in language education. To do this, the unit;

  • Designs and manages Moodle as an environment to share educational resources and to assess students’ assignments and online portfolios,
  • Creates web based teaching and learning resources,
  • Gives in-service trainings to use Moodle effectively and efficiently; and to help instructors integrate instructional technologies so that 21st century learning principles can best be facilitated in the classroom,
  • Integrates online components to school’s teaching program,
  • Designs, conducts and analyzes administrative and academic surveys.
