Curricular Activities Unit 2019-2020 2nd Quarter

In the second quarter of the academic year 2019-2020, the clubs and curricular activities were active with the participation of the students and the contribution of volunteer instructors. The Curricular Activities (CA) Unit of Department of the Basic English (DBE) presented its appreciation to the students and the instructors with small presents and certificates at the end of the quarter. The head of the CA Unit, Hasan Emre Çırkan said that they would continue the activities of their clubs with the invaluable contribution of the volunteer instructors at DBE. There are 3 different contests and a social media activity organised within the CA Unit. They are called “Extra-Curricular Activities”. The contests are Knowledge Contest, Spelling Bee and Letter Please. The social media activity is “Word of the Day”. Not only the students who participated and won a place in the final at the end of each contest, but also the instructors who have volunteered to prepare the contests and “Word of the day” took their certificates from the Chairperson of Department of Basic English, Assist. Prof. Dr. Alper Şahin and the Director of School of Foreign Languages, Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ertaş.
