The change in the Calculation of Achievement Scores in the Department of Basic English

Dear Students,
As you know, we continue our hybrid education system and face to face exams in the Department of Basic English in this quarter. We have made some changes in your favor in our scoring system in the light of recent developments in this quarter. That is :
A, B, C, D Levels: Midterm 1: 30%, Midterm 2: 30%, Weekly Writing Quizzes: 10%, Portfolio: 20%, Homework: 10%, Attendance Bonus: 5%
According to this distribution, "writing quizzes" will continue to be done weekly. However, the other weekly quizzes that constitute 20% of your total score are put into midterm exams. In this way, the 30% weight of Quizzes was decreased to 10% and weight of Midterm exams has increased to 60% of your total score.
The score distribution in Prefaculty level is as follows :
Prefac Level: Midterm 1: 30%, Midterm 2: 40%, Quizzes: 10%, Portfolio Homework: 20%, Attendance Bonus: 5%
At this level, the total weight of the weekly quizzes has been reduced from 20% to 10% (4 quizzes of 2.5 points each). The 10-point R&R quiz content has been added to Midterm 1. For this reason, the weight of Midterm 1 has increased to 30%
