What is Aerospace Engineering?
Our department is a field of engineering that focuses on the R&D, design, manufacturing, testing and performance processes of aircraft such as planes, choppers, or rockets; as well as satellites, and other kinds of spacecraft. Our Undergraduate Degree Program in Aerospace Engineering consists of courses and practice sessions in aerodynamics, the field of engineering that focuses on the reactions between the systems in question and fluids such as air and water; structure, the field of engineering that focuses on the effects of the reacting forces on these systems; propulsion, the field of engineering that focuses on the forces to move these systems; and, finally, control, a field of engineering that focuses on the input-output balance of the systems.
