About the Bachelor Degree in Pilot Training
Atilim University, School of Civil Aviation the Department of Pilot Training will start in 2015-2016 Academic year. In cooperation with Atlas Global Airlines our School of Civil Aviation opens the doors of a much prestigious profession.
Atilim University, School of Civil Aviation the Department of Pilot Training is a four year programme. The language of instruction is English. The students who do not have enough knowledge of English shall attend the University’s English Preparatory School.
Theoretical education will be given in Atilim University, School of Civil Aviation the Department of Pilot Training whereas the flight training will be given in Çorlu Airport by Atlantik Flight School within Atlas Global Airlines within the scope of the cooperation.
The four year Pilot Training programme is composed of three parts:
1. Fundamental Academic Training
2. Flight Training Ground Courses
3. Flight Training Flight Courses
The education in Atilim University’s Department of Pilot Training is carried out in accordance with the ICAO and European Aviation Security Agency-EASA regulations.
Besides providing a Bachelor’s Degree in English and in accordance with international standards, Atilim University’s Department of Pilot Training will also provide its students with “Airline Transport Pilot License” from General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
The students who apply for the Department of Pilot Training in Atilim University, School of Civil Aviation have to meet the necessary conditions stated in the Official Gazette dated 06 June 2006 and numbered 26190.
Rigorous security investigations are necessary for the training that will be carried out in special aviation institutions within the scope of Bachelor’s Degree in Pilot Training. Applicant students have to go through these security investigations. The students who cannot meet the necessary security and discipline investigations are not accepted to the programme.
Furthermore, the students who will apply to the Department of Pilot Training shall undergo necessary medical examinations. The students to be accepted to the programme shall have first class medical certificate given by the Aviation Medical Centre authorized by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation and shall document that they do not have any obstacles to fly as “pilot in command in airplanes certified for one pilot” in the medical certificate.
The student will have the responsibility in case there is an unfavourable situation for piloting within the period of education.
